He was a member of the NRA, a fishing enthusiast, antique camera collector, stamp and coin collector and he loved music; his favorite music was rock and roll, his favorite band was Pink Floyd. She was born in Pyrites (St. Lawrence County, NY) on May 30, 1937, daughter of Harry and Bernice DeCarr Hoffman. Patricia grew up in Port Leyden and graduated from Port Leyden High School in 1955. She was united in marriage with William Jackson on June 25, 1960 at St. Martin’s Church, Port Leyden. Patricia was employed at Griffiss Air Force Base for 20 years and also at Community Bank in Boonville and Lyons Falls retiring several years ago. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Constableville where she served as Ecumenical Minister. She enjoyed helping out at the meal site in Lyons Falls, walking and singing in the Adirondack Community Chorus, bowling, reading, crocheting and a love for animals.
As was Larry’s wishes, he will be cremated with no formal service; a celebration of life will be held later while canoeing down the Perdido River listening to Pink Floyd. Her laugh and smile were contagious, there was never a dull moment. She loved all people no matter what ailments or disabilities they may have had.

Doris Bigler, 97, entered into rest on Tuesday December 20, 2022 at Spiritrust Lutheran Skilled Care Center York. Don had a strong love for his dogs, all of whom predeceased him.

Send Flowers Send flowers or a gift to a service or family's home. Dr. Pugh took a photo safari to East Africa in 1975, where he met his future bride, Marne. On that trip, they were fortunate to save a wild elephant that had been darted by poachers.
He successfully removed the poison dart, and with added antibiotics, sent the elephant on her way. Marne moved to Pensacola from California, where she had been a teacher. They worked together for the next 12 years at Airport Animal Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Stephen and Edna Blanche Hurford, and one sister, Marianne Hurford.
She didn’t like to tell people goodbye, it was always see you later or until next time. She never complained about what she was going thru, she always wanted the next day to be better than the day before. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as extended family and friends.
